Overview

VRR Parking is a real-time parking management SaaS platform. Led end-to-end engineering: frontend, backend, authentication, payments, production deployment and server migration.

The platform serves 500+ properties and over 1 million annual visitors, and runs on a revenue-share model.

Challenge

Visitor parking has to connect a visitor, their vehicle and the property they are visiting. Each property can also apply its own parking rules. The product needed to carry those details through one real-time platform while supporting the people who administer properties and resident access.

Approach

Led end-to-end engineering across the public landing site, five Angular portals, the Laravel backend, authentication, payments, production deployment and server migration. The work kept property configuration and the visitor journey connected through the same backend rules.

Architecture

The diagram explains the responsibility boundaries in this case study. It is intentionally simplified.

User or teamReactLaravelAWS S3Operations

React supports the landing site. Angular supports the admin, resident, manager, regional manager and sub-admin portals. Laravel provides the backend, and AWS S3 stores images.

Solution highlights

The visitor parking flow covers property selection, vehicle details, resident and unit, and visitor contact. Property managers configure each property's parking rules: free, paid, or a monthly free allowance then paid. Spot types are open, garage, and covered.

  • Visitor flow from property selection through visitor contact
  • Separate portals for admin, resident, manager, regional manager and sub-admin
  • Per-property free, paid, or monthly allowance then paid rules
  • Open, garage, and covered spot types

Results
